Walking Holidays Davos
Spend your walking holidays in Switzerland. The area in and around Davos and Klosters offers a large choice of walking and hiking trails ranging from strolls through beautiful meadows to strenuous narrow mountain tracks. Untouched valleys such as the Dischmatal are great for a gentle walk on even ground. An easy 3 hour walk for example is to take the bus to Dürrboden and walk via Teufi back to Davos. For a more strenuous hike or walk head towards one of the several mountains surrounding Davos. Included in the package at not extra cost is the ‘Davos Inclusive’ card offering free travel on the Davos mountain railways offering and easy way ‘up’ or ‘down’ if required.
| Day 1: | Arrival Travel from Zürich airport to Davos by train. If you have an early morning flight you might want to take some time in the afternoon to explore Davos itself. At 1,560m Davos is one of the highest towns in Europe and has grown to become Switzerland’s largest resort, attracting visitors from all over the world. Numerous facilities and sports activities are on offer. |
| Day 2 & 3: | Go as you please There are 460km of walking and hiking trails varying from easy to difficult/strenuous. Untouched valleys such as the Dischmatal are great for a gentle walk on even ground. An easy 3 hour walk for example is to take the bus to Dürrboden and walk via Teufi back to Davos. For a more strenuous hike or walk head towards one of the several mountains surrounding Davos. Please note that some of the hiking trails are on high altitude and are only open from late June beginning of July. |
| Day 4: | Departure Transfer to Zürich for your return flight or rail to the UK. |
