Location: Mürren, Bernese Oberland
Mürren is a beautiful, cosy little alpine village at the foot of the Schilthorn; British visitors have been coming to this resort over many years. Set in the Bernese Oberland on a sunny plateau and approachable by cable car or funicular railway (closed this summer) only, the village is completely traffic free and therefore ideal for families with young children. You will enjoy the spectacular views, especially looking across the valley to Wengen, Kleine Scheidegg and Jungfrau.

3* Hotel Blumental, Mürren

This cosy family-run hotel is situated right in the centre of the car-free village. It is only a few minutes walk from the cable car station and the sports centre where guests enjoy free entry. The hotel has a rustic style lounge, a la carte restaurant, sun terrace, cosy bar and a lift. The room has a shower, WC, hairdryer, cable/satellite TV, radio and telephone and a minibar.

4* Hotel Eiger, Mürren

The traditional, family-run htoel enjoys a central position, just opposite the mountain railway station to Lauterbrunnen and with great views of the famous Eiger, Moench and Jungfrau mountains. Facilities include lounge, restaurant, indoor swimming pool with whirlpool, sauna, solarium (sup.), sun terrace and lift. All 49 rooms are traditionally furnished and have bath, shower, wc, hairdryer, TV, radio, telephone and safe. Standard rooms are north facing while superior rooms come with a balcony and great views of the surrounding mountains.
