At 1,560m Davos is one of the highest towns in Europe and has grown to become Switzerland’s largest resort, attracting visitors from all over the world. It consists of two large villages, Davos Dorf and Davos Platz, which have merged into one, stretching along the Landwasser river in the valley of the same name. The area around Davos offers a large choice of walking and hiking trails ranging from strolls through beautiful meadows to strenuous narrow mountain tracks. In the town itself any kind of sport is available from golfing and sailing to tennis and badminton.
