Just above the town is the Corviglia area with 90km (56miles) of mainly south-facing intermediate pistes from where a cable car provides access to Piz Nair, with its superb runs for advanced level skiers. The Surlej cable car is reached by ski bus from the town. For early and late season skiing the Diavolezza area, near the glacier skiing at Pontresina is recommended.
