Spend your Switzerland ski holidays in Leysin: Located in the Alpes Vaudoises region Leysin is known for its refreshing, invigorating and sunny climate and in fact started off as a health resort at the end of the last century. With masses of deep powder snow and nearly 60km of prepared pistes Leysin has lots to offer beginners and intermediate skiers, as most the slopes are not too demanding, offering instead the perfect environment for learning and honing skills with a view to more challenging slopes at a later date. There is however a long black run and some good red runs in the Chaux de Mont area at 2,200m. A gondola also services the Mayen ski area with a number of good blue and red runs, which in turn are linked by chair lifts to a further range of blue, red and off-piste runs. Leysin is part to the 'Alpes Vaudoises' ski area including Villars and Les Diablerets and skipasses can be purchased for the whole region.
