St. Moritz - Lugano
The Bernina Express runs through the ancient landscape of Graubünden making short work of the 55 tunnels, 196 bridges and steep inclines along the way. Special observation cars will let you admire the route as well as the mighty glaciers and viaducts from the comfort of your seat. For some southern charm, change in Tirano to the Bernina Express Bus to Ticino.

Programme

Day 1: Arrival in St. Moritz
Flight from the UK to Zürich and 2nd class rail transfer to St. Moritz. Overnight in St. Moritz. 
Day 2: St. Moritz - free day
The day is yours to explore to your heart's content. St. Moritz has reportedly around 322 days of sunshine per year so ideal weather to discover the beauty of the Engadine countryside. Overnight in St. Moritz.
Day 3: Bernina Express
Morning departure from St. Moritz. The incredible climb over the Bernina Pass (7,391ft / 2,253m) and the change in countryside from glaciers to palm trees are just two of the many highlights along the way. In Tirano change to the Bernina Express coach for the journey along Lake Como to Lugano. Overnight in Lugano. 
Day 4: Lugano - free day 
Spread along the crescent shaped bay of Lake Lugano the town offers Mediterranean flair and ambience. Explore Lugano's historic town centre, modern architecture and beautiful parks. Overnight in Lugano.
Day 5: Departure 
Rail transfer to Zürich and flight or rail back to the UK.

- From £575 per adult sharing twin/double room
- Single room supplement £74 for 4 nights
- Child prices and costs for extra bed (triple room) on request

Optional Extras:
- Upgrade to 4* accommodation: £134 for 4 nights (Single room £189)
- Upgrade to 1st class: £36 per adult 
- Add Swissminiatur Excursion: £21 per adult
- Add extra nights at any of the resorts
